Individuals can now influence name searches on Google Google announces blog search update

Google have recently broadcast a few changes to their blog search, however none of them are major enough to really make an impact, but may still provide you with some food for thought.

They have added RSS feeds for actual search queries, as this is something that every major search engine that handles dynamic content should have as standard.

Other changes from the blog search home page include “hot search queries” and “recent posts” which conclude the list of changes to the site.

Although in the past, many of the Google services have made huge changes and innovations to their product services, users of the popular service are content that they are drawing level as it is an indication that the blog still exists.

The news comes as disappointment though as users were expecting more in the way of spam control, a reaction to what was going to happen about Twitter and its imposition, personalization changes, visualization changes, semantic, mobile implementation, but none of it materialised. This is very disappointing as users were expecting so much more.

However, for fast results the best option is still Google Blog Search. There are other options too if you have requirements that surpass those of speed.

For a tool to use on a daily basis, a lot of people tend to use Ask.com's blog search as an alternative to Google blog search. There’s nothing ground breaking about it, but it does cut out an enormous amount of spam.

At the end of the day, for well thought-out, researched, buzz news and opinion, blogs are still important.

But users just wished that Google shared the same passion.
